March 9th - On this day in 632AD, The Prophet Muhammad delivered The Final Sermon in the Uranah valley of Mount Arafat.
The Sermon consists of a series of general exhorations for Muslims to follow the teachings that Muhammad had set forth in the Qu’ran and Sunnah. It summed up his mission as a Prophet of God for the last 23 years of his life, where he went through battles, exiles, trails and tribulations. This Sermon, Muhammad’s last before his death, was not just a simple sermon but a heart felt plea to his people to take heed and believe in what he stood for.
